A dedicated forum for these wonderful machines.
I bought a TR-1010 accidentally five years ago for 45 pound/euro and was blown away by it's performance and construction.
Since then I've gotten another 1010, and a 1040, a 1055, a 2030 and a 2060L. I don't have 2xxx blue one which hopefully will be to be a mk1 2075.
All my machines need some worknow but I'm coming to the end of a refurb (no caps though) of a beautifully original 1010 and a very clean, original and seemingly low mileage 1040. Both need new fm cords fitted to complete and I've used danish stain on the 1010 and about to put boiled linseed on the 1040 - my feeling is the linseed will be preferred finish because the stain incorporates varnish which gives too shiny a look for my liking.
So glad this forum has been started by Jens and Steinerikhanssen. The amount of tandberg info out there in the English speaking world is very limited, and I have been translating the info on hifisentralen to find more solutions. I had almost.....almost joined facebook to ask the many questions but I have the creation of this website to thank for saving me from that.
Thanks for the website guys and I look forward to contributing where I can
